We have and are considering a public showing of the movie "Within Reach" (99 min.)  It was produced in cooperation with the Fellowship for Intentional Community which we meet up with every year at the Convergence in Hopland on the grounds of the Solar Living Institute.  It documents a bicycle tour of the country -- a journey of discovery that visits communes, coops and intentional communities.  It is an eye opener.  I am including an interactive map that was produced to promote the movie and I found its links very inpiring and just plain fun to browse through.   Give the map a look.
